DS is in, in state, 4.4 w, top 4% of class of 540, test optional, decent ECs (varsity soccer captain, travel soccer, food pantry volunteer, 16/hrs per week lifeguarding job for past 3 years). In at VT, waitlisted UVA.

Come for DFAS! So much more exciting than the normal tour and a great way to find out about clubs, housing, and meet potential roommates.

If you're looking for something smaller and maybe a little more personal Green and Gold Days would probably be more ideal. But imo DFAS is far superior - the school puts on such a large scale production for it.

FYI. Event for Monroe scholars (Sunday) and DFAS (Saturday) are the same weekend.

Waitlisted in-state eith 4.2 wgpa, 3.7 uw, 1440 SAT. 13 IB, 1 AP, 8 honors. Average ECs. It's been rough with VA schools- while OOS has mostly come with merit.

DD Waitlisted in state and picking between London or Florence for first semester if it doesn’t pan out… have done a lot of looking into it and seems like a great program. Congrats to those admitted!
