So excited. DD was in ED but so excited for these new admits.

In! This was a reach for DC and is a reach for us financially, but we are all delighted with this news.

I’d love to hear if there’s a DMV meet up sometime. Because I’ll never hear about it from DS.

How is there computer science program?

Rejected. A little disappointing but not a shock.

Last year, a lovely Maryland family hosted a gathering at their home for local incoming freshman students and their parents. Both parents were alums and they had a current student as well as an incoming freshman. There was also a rep from BC in attendance, as well as several current students. Everyone spoke briefly. It was a great opportunity for incoming freshman to meet other local freshman that they may or may not know already. If I recall correctly, the event took place late summer. BC sends an invite via email, but be sure to RSVP quickly as spots fill up quickly.

Congrats! You will love it there. Such a beautiful campus, & such devoted professors.

Best wishes. Everyone jumps on DCUM to report acceptances. Rejections are tough.

Trust that an acceptance is coming soon from another great school!

Waitlisted!! Last week was Case. DC was quite depressed/discouraged. Thanks goodness they have some very good options already. A few more school this weekend. Hopefully there will be some good news!

DD waitlisted. Much better stats than ED1 and ED2 admits from her HS. More annoying than anything.

Any clue what are the odds of admitting off the waitlist?

I heard the RD acceptance rate was 6.7% this year. Is that true?

No, that was just someone on CC who divided number of applications by number of seats without factoring in yield.

DC also in, happy and grateful, although probably will choose a different school. Think the admit rate was 15% so very tough!

Acceptance rate is probably a bit under last year's rate of 15% as BC's rate's been trending lower each year like most schools. But to your point, isn't that how acceptance rate is calculated? Without accounting for yield?
