"Don't get did"? SYC Icon? Naw. SYC has all these fields but too damn cheap to get permits so teams have to cram together.

Iconically? For icon? Don’t get did, did you try to carry this club and used the wrong word that ends in “ly”

Don't need a lot of space to have a highly technical and impactful session. Its about the coach and training not the space. Unless its rocks or sloping hills a field is a field. Flat and 1/6 of a full field is sufficient for anyone who knows what they are doing.

This is true for one session, or even one session per week for years, but ultimately kids need to train on a bigger field, at least some of the time, to learn spacing, movement and simply how to play. Cone work and small nets can only take you so far.

In SYC’s defense, they are likely stuck dealing with what they are given. Fairfax county doesn’t give fields because someone offers them more cash than the next guy. I assume there are a bunch of fields the rec teams get too. I doubt there is a club around thinking they have as much space as they want. Then there are always new groups popping up too, so most clubs are lucky to keep getting the same fields every season.
