Why not add a 2 week break into the calendars?

I wish we had year round school with more breaks (adding up to the same amount of instructional days as current). It would make a lot more sense in so many ways. Especially for upper grades 6th+ where childcare is not a factor.

Yeah but those middle and high schoolers are providing child care for their younger siblings. If they are on a different schedule, you’d see even higher numbers of students absent because they’d be at home watching their siblings.
