I looked on homes.com and it doesn't show there so I am going with propertyiq is just not accurate. |
I just looked my house up. Everything is wrong. Doesn't show the proper square feet, # bedrooms, mortgage balance. All wrong. |
Everything is right on mine. I can’t believe it knows my mortgage amount! It even showed our permits that we’ve taken out over the years.
My next door neighbor had all their info right, but then also had another neighbors info too. I recognized the names. |
No it’s the balance when you originally took out your mortgage, not the current balance. |
I totally snooped on my neighbors who seem to like to use their house as a cash bank for lines of credit every other year for the last 10 and refinanced like five times! 🤡 |
Mine is so glaringly inaccurate I asked my real estate attorney WTH? They replied:
"The only website records that matter are the records recorded with the County Register of Deeds. The website you linked is not a government website, it is unreliable and could contain false information." |
I mean, yeah. Did you really think some random unofficial website was something to be worried about? |
Mine is weird because it shows that the Smiths sold it to us, the Joneses. And the correct mortgage amount and year. But then it shows that the Smiths took out a HELOC in 2020. No, the Smiths didn't, but we did! Weird. |
Yes. Lots of half facts & incomplete or wrong information. |
I just wanted to mention that the original loan amounts on current loans are shown on this site but not updated if the loan is paid in full. My property is paid off but had a mortgage when I bought it and the mortgage is still showing with the original loan amount as of the year in which I paid it in full. |
The site gets the information half right. For example, when we bought our house we have only 10% down payment so we did 80% conforming and 10% piggyback HELOC - the website showed the conforming but not the HELOC (as if it doesn’t exist)
We’ve refinanced three times since then. It has our most recent refinance, but the interest rate is wrong (says we have a 3% 30Y when in fact we have 2.75% 30Y). Though it is pretty interesting to see the massive mortgages of the neighbors who have bought the flipped homes. Makes my $700K mortgage look piddly. |
did something change? The website no longer has the deeds section where you see mortgages |
Yes I think they changed it. It does not have mortgage information |
I wonder why, not going to lie, I enjoyed looking at the mortgage history! |
Yes! They took a lot of the information off the website. Bummer!! It was so much fun to look at. Deed, mortgage, lines of credit all gone.
1)I wonder if property iq was pressured from other companies who ALL charge fees for this information, given FREE from prop.iq. 2)I wonder if they were getting too many complaints from people who wanted their info. taken down. I want to find out what happened. They do not ever answer the phone. ***Can someone find out what happened??? I want it to come back up!!! |
