Because generally your health insurance is provided through your employer.

So are nearly all working individuals. No one announces they aren’t fed.

The federal government is the nation’s largest employer and many employees are based in the Washington DC area, so perhaps OP was hoping another person on fed BCBS had some insight.

Because OPM requires all federal health insurance plans to have robust anti-obesity coverage, which must include covering at least GLP-1 if you are a fed and carry insurance through your job, you can skip the “will my insurance cover it” step.

Fed insurance plans can be different from insurance plans of same name brand. When we go to a doctor and they ask which 'variety' of BCBP or UHC or whatever, we say it's the fed plan. It's kind of part of the name of our insurance plan.
