No they are not sending that many. Many kids are getting left with not great options. People like you who it worked out well for keep clammering on about how great it is but I am talking to actual parents and students that are getting shut out. |
I believe my friends when they tell they are getting shut out of top schools. Schools like Tulane even. |
| I don’t understand the question. All of the AP courses are year long course at our Catholic high school. There are plenty offered every year, including AP Literature which is what seniors typically take. |
Yes, they are sending that many. Sorry your child isn’t enjoying the same benefits. It sounds like your unhooked child also has subpar grades, test scores and ECs. The Big 3 can’t work miracles [shrug]. Better luck during transfer season. |
Most APs are year long, but some are not. SAAS has a one semester version of AP PreCalc (also a full year version), and then AP Language and Comp., AP Gov, AP Macro, AP Micro, and APES are all one semester courses. |
Such kindess and empathy. |
Ours does not have any AP English or AP history. That’s the question. Only science. |
Are you the Sidwell poster? You sound just like them. |
You are a total dimwit - I am talking about SENIOR parents and students this year which is not us. |
Hello Sidwell parent! This is exactly why we turned down Sidwell years ago for another Big 3! Sidwell parents have the most cutthroat reputation of all. |
STA and NCS do not offer AP english, no AP History, no AP government, etc… Just AP Science and language which most kids take in 11th. No more language to take in senior year. |
| I will say SAAS is all-in for AP exams. All graduates take AP Bio, World History, US History, Lang, Lit, and one of the Calculus tests, assuming the boy started in 9th grade. |
| OP, have you asked the school counselor what the gunner seniors take at your school? Just take those classes. |
I'm not PP - but do you hear yourself? Just awful. |
And you sound like the parent of a mediocre student who will be lucky to attend a T200 college. Good luck with that, dear! |
