I really disliked Ithaca when we visited. The region is decent, but the town? Blech |
Especially bad neighborhoods like Morningside Heights |
Savannah....fun for parents weekend but not so great for student safety.
Carlisle, PA....felt a bit dumpy and boring The Bronx....just did accepted students day at Fordham and didn't feel super comfortable walking around the streets outside of Rose Hill campus (but had a tasty Italian lunch!). Would actually feel safer having my kid at the Lincoln Center location |
Came here to say College Park. |
DC |
Oof have to say College Park. Love the school, though! |
American University Park. Safe and clean, sure, but I can't think of a less collegiate place to go to school than a residential community of $2 and $3 million dollar homes and Ambassadors' residences. Hey, lets walk over to Tenleytown for fun! No thanks... |
Beats Poughkeepsie or Clinton NY |
Went to college at AU in the 80s and we partied on campus, off campus and in Georgetown. Fantastic location |
Williamstown - god awful |
Bethlehem, PA |
Might not be exciting, but Hamilton campus is great and you won’t get attacked on or off campus! |
New Haven and College Park Baltimore for safety |

+1 Very sorry to say this. My bc absolutely loved RPI, but the thought of living in Troy was the deal breaker. |
