My kid literally has only sweatpants and a few collared shirts. No pants. We don’t go to church or the club so no need for dressier clothes. So, whatever he wears, I will have to buy. |
Wrong. God is not a fashionista. Disrespectful, and a sin before God, is to keep people out of the temple because you think their clothes aren't fancy enough, while you sit in your fancy dress and text on your phone and gossip during the service. |
Recitals, graduations, weddings, funerals, dates, are bound to start happening, so may as well get something. It'll get use. |
| Usually it’s a button down with a jacket. You don’t have to buy one but you might be able to borrow one. Almost all the boys will be in one. You could also do a button down under a sweater look. It’s just a little effort to be dressed. |
| Don’t worry about the shoes, sneakers are fine. |
| Suit and tie is best. If not nice pants, dress shirt and tie with dress shoes. No sneakers. |

I love you |
Thanks, but my kid is growing a ton and I just buy as needed. Defintiely won’t have any recitals or graduations for a year and a half at least. I don’t want to buy things just in case that will most likely never get used. |
