What expensive repair did your older car need and what did you decide to do

My 10 year old Toyota Camry with LESS than 100,000 miles basically needed a new engine. Yes, I maintained it. Took it to several places for estimates, too. All expressed surprise because Toyotas run forever, right?

I never loved that car anyway. Traded it in to be someone else’s problem. Got a Subaru that I love.
