Altered real estate pictures (greener grass, drone perspective)

OP here. The property I know about has photos of marshland down to a river that has the houses along the water blurred out and replaced with bushes, enhancing the water view.
Anyway, the property was withdrawn from MLS today. 😃

There was one in Alexandria on a beautiful lot. The only downside was high tension power lines directly overhead with a large pylon across the street. A bit of photoshopping solves the issue

House hunters, call and ask about the fence. Make Elizabeth earn that commission.

That realtor is a nut job. Good luck.

I think that crosses the line and should be considered false advertising.

This house is on a busy intersection so it isn’t selling. So far the photoshopped fence hasn’t convinced anyone to buy it.

This house is the worst. In addition to a bad location, as a potential buyer, I would wonder what else they are lying about. The fence issue alone has probably deterred so many buyers.

I just read her reviews. It sounds like she's a known scammer. Feel bad for those sellers.

It also shows as a 99% chance of severe flooding in 30 Years. I don't know about you but I'm not spending 1.7 million to live directly in a flood plain.

I'm sure they'll cut you a check right away.

Mind posting a link I am curious. Outside of Yelp was unable to find any awful ones (she barely seems to have reviews, guessing cleans it up somehow)

A lot of the photograph companies, drone or otherwise ,promise clear blue skies and green grass in the photos. They pay the photographer and drone pilots to go out and get photos. Then the firm will photoshop everything. You will occasionally see snow and ice on driveways while everything else has clearly been "cleaned up". People want a fantasy and curb appeal even in photos.

Did anyone go to the open house?

I've been in that house and others by that builder. The work seems to be decent quality but I don't like his floor plans at all. He is huge on open space (cheaper!) but the flow isn't good at all, and a few different choices would make a huge difference. Like who wants a huge window in the master bath to overlook a busy road. Or spend that much with no garage. Honestly if he added an ADU in the back like the listing suggests, it might sell because then a buyer could immediately use it as a STR.

I think it’s mainly the busy road and being so close to the intersection and across from a busy church. It’s a house on a road, not a house in a neighborhood. If people have $1.73 million to spend, want to be in that neighborhood, and have a little patience, they would simply buy a nice house tucked a few streets back.

This is a $1.6ish house, maybe even in the 1.5s.

The question about altered images makes me think of the ones where they are so obviously staged with furniture and artwork. This is similar but feels more egregious.

An easy solution would be to require any renderings to be labeled as such.
