I stumbled into this post because I was curious if anyone had received letters yet, but I have a kid at DeMatha. It's been such a good experience for him. He's bright and he's an athlete, but he has some impulsivity and executive functioning issues. The folks at DeMatha just get teenage boys, so they hold him to high standards but allow some silliness. A lot of athletes, but their music department is very strong too. A lot of really high academic options too. A lot the school-wide events are like field days, so if your son does not want to do anything active, it might not be the best fit. I think the kids are generally nice there.
