After rereading your post, you will almost certainly need to hire an experienced handyman familiar with bathroom remodels as the valves will need to be replaced if your fixtures are old. Valve replacement entails cutting trough the wall (assuming that your fixtures are wall mounted), removing tile & blue board (water proof dry wall). Plumbers need to be licensed unless done by the homeowner in most (or all) jurisdictions. Carpentry may be involved if the valve and/or new faucet is unusually heavy.
