| We had outdoor practice 3x a week, about 6 games with a winter outdoor league, and attempted a few tournaments but didn't get the numbers. So, no offseason really! |
| NP. My kid plays in low level EDP. He had two outdoor practices and one skills clinic each week and an outdoor winter league with ~6-7 games. Winter league is over now but they're practicing regularly through the spring. |
| We are a part of SYC, and each team does their own thing. Our team does nothing. Practices are scheduled and then cancelled. Our coach has his own private training, and he encourages the player on our team to sign up for it. For those who can't read between the lines, it means if you sign up your child will get to start. |
| U11 Travel here. We had 2x weekly practices outdoors. Some were CNX due to cold weather. We had about 60% participation. Coaching was minimal. Some kids did futsal, some did indoor, some played basketball, some did all of the above plus skills clinics outside the club. (My kid lol.) But I can say the kids who haven't touched a ball for 2-3 months are easily identifiable due to a lack of quality foot skills. Not sure if mid-year team adjustments will be made or not based on off-season training. Also, noticed kids at the St James had 2-3 practices per week, indoors, quality training. |
What age group? |
wow, i would not expect that with syc |
. +1 2 indoor leagues- 1 through club and outside Club Futsal- practice only 2 club practices a week |
| We decided to switch clubs because the original club was planning just 2 practices a week - one outdoor and one indoor - with the indoor not even being on a soccer field. They also planned to play a short outdoor season that wasn’t competitive. No tournaments. We moved to a team with 3 practices a week, competitive league games and multiple tournaments. |
Yeah travel is busy but Arlington rec I don’t think does anything . I know of one team that kept themselves busy with indoor football but that was totally self-organized (and paid for) by the coach and parents. |
