MCPS math sequence for visual learners who are strong students

Dyscalculia can be related to trouble with sequence processing and this seems to be the flip side of being a highly visual learner. My child does do extremely well with any type of "visual" math. He does not do well when asked to process sequences of equations that are only learned through symbols and that no other visual representation is provided.
