Stylist raising prices and tipping?

This is FINE, she was cutting me a discount for a LONG time and I would pay more, that’s how much I like her. I was paying $42 for a cut for a decade. Over the summer she upped it again to $47, and now she’s charging $55. The thing is, I’ve been tipping her $15 since the $42 days. If I tip $15 at $55, that’s still around 28%.

Would you stay at $15 or increase your tip? Maybe to $20? Or would that be too much and make things weird? Just curious what you’d tip for a $55 CUT.

How long do your haircuts take?

I go every 3 months, give or take. It definitely doesn’t, but I don’t want to make it weird, if that makes sense.

Giving more tip = not weird
Giving more tip + phone number = weird
Giving more tip + phone number + nudes = very weird

I’d still tip her $15. It’s over 20%

Her prices increased, she is making more money. You don’t need to also tip more just because. You aren’t obligated to tip her >30 % forever.

+1 incredibly cheap. Mine is in the 100s

Which is a racket! I have a simple haircut. No coloring no blow drying just 20 mins max.

My hair stylists charges $25 for a haircut. She is older..I really don’t get it. But whatever, she does a great job. I tip her $20 because the haircut is absurdly cheap and underpriced. If next time I went in, if she raised her prices and charged me $50 not going to tip her $40. I’d still tip her $20.
