Does anyone here sell or shop on ebay?

I buy used computer equipment from ebay. Sometimes I use newegg. Depends on what I am looking for

I buy vintage Coach purses.

I used to buy deadstock children's toys and Gymboree clothes.

I want to have an online garage sale there but haven't mustered the energy.

My BIL got a lot of money selling a few of his authentic 1990s concert T-shirts. He wrote their backstories into each ad. They were purchased by vintage resellers (who sell to stupid rich people who won't buy modern reprints). He figures he accidentally Goodwilled hundreds of dollars of old shirts before his last move.

I have bought a few clothing items on ebay recently. High quality labels and a fraction of what it would cost in the stores. Snagged a Sid Mashburn flannel shirt in excellent nearly new condition for $45, brand new it retails for $250. Frankly, at this point I barely pay retail for new clothes any more, just wait for sales or look on eBay.

Have bought a few pieces of silver off eBay as well.

Did sell a ticket to a sold out museum exhibition I couldn't go to and agree with a previous poster that selling costs were a lot higher than I expected. But buyer side is still a great bargain.

I buy clothes and jewelry on eBay. For clothes, I buy very specific items that I already own but can't get anymore. For jewelry, it's a cheap way to get interesting semi-precious jewelry for work: sterling, amber, nothing expensive.

DH sells his collectibles that we don't have space for or he no longer wants. He rarely "makes" money as compared to the purchase price but at least they are leaving the house and some cash is coming in.

Things I buy consistently on eBay -

- New Running shoes that are models from a year or two ago. Paying even full price or 25% off current year models for running shoes is crazy these days with the prices being asked

Things I sell on eBay:

When I need to declutter

Ugh I should. We get so many items gifted to us from amazon that are duplicates or don’t work for our family. They’re brand new. Wish I could just send them back to amazon.

Used to buy and sell a lot but less and less over the years. I still do but just a few times a year.

I sell a little bit, but only things from my home that I no longer want or need. (I don't buy anything to sell). It's a good way to rehome odd, specific items, like the appliance parts or partial china sets mentioned above. I wouldn't say I make that much money, I do it instead of having a garage sale.

I do the same thing!!!

I sell things on eBay to reduce clutter, and I sometimes buy on eBay. I don't make that much money, but it helps me get rid of things.

This is almost exclusively what I use eBay for - to try to replace the exact thing that I broke or the new-ish sweater I just found a moth hole in. I was able to replace my exact purse and wallet after they were stolen. Generally successful.

I made ablu $4000 on eBay last year.

I buy and sell used clothing on ebay. When I lost weight last year I sold all my lululemon and Vuori clothes for a decent amount (about 50% of what I paid).

Right? It's hardly worth the effort. If you sell over $700 annually, you have to fill out federal tax forms. That pushed me over the edge - so not worth it.
