How much per hour for in-home caregivers?

I pay my teenage babysitter for age K and 3rd $20 an hour. She has no certifications and isn't handling medications or bodily fluids. So I'm not surprised at the rate.

I was shocked when someone wanted $30/hr. She was worth every penny.

Even if you paid the person $30 an hour directly, it's not a career choice. Nobody, as a child, says that when they grow up they want to be a home caregiver. There actually is no way to fix it.
