Field trip cost

Yes, they are going to a museum on the mall. The $20 is to buy lunch in the museum cafeteria

My child did go on a field trip just like this and they were not allowed to bring bagged lunch and the suggestion was $20-30.

We always declare medical dietary restrictions and they have to allow us to bring lunch

Last year when I chaperoned a field trip to the National Gallery kids brought their own bagged lunches.

Last year when I chaperoned a field trip to the National Gallery kids brought their own bagged lunches.

That’s great. However, the permission slip that came come specifically stated no bag lunches and to send the child with cash to buy lunch.

I would assume all schools have kids on FARMs. I have no idea how kids that can’t afford it are being handled. A PP commented that there is a place on the permission slip to indicate that you need financial assistance.
