Can I just say how much I don't miss NOVA though I as a teen basically grew up there?

Wow. You spent 4 years of your childhood there, you must be an expert.

Where in nova? Burke or Springfield are very different from Arlington or McLean.

Newly renovated libraries and nature centers all over the cities. Very bright, hard working friends and neighbors. Lots of theaters and concerts in a tri-state area. Sports venues easy to go to. Rich, history in the area. Loads of universities and corporations all over. Very easy to get a job. Very educated population which feeds into very smart kids for your kids to play with.

Malls are developments are a highlight to you? That says a lot. Also, the restaurant scene in NOVA is horrible. And where are all of these “beautiful neighborhoods?” I lived in NOVA for 10 years, and even the most expensive neighborhoods look like more rundown versions of what would be considered average or lower end neighborhoods in most major cities.

Valid points. Dining options have been replaced with mattress stores, Lash studios, and “baby sitting” activities for kids (Kumon, karate, Coding). For such a wealthy area, businesses and restaurants struggle to survive here. Businesses and dining options seem to thrive in surrounding counties. Fairfax is doing something wrong.
