schools with urban planning programs

Second Kansas State! I am in their Community Development Master's program (online - it's still quite rigorous) and I am so happy. It's a great program that requires strong critical thinking, and allows a multitude of different perspectives, not just "what to think." The faculty are amazing; I have had several professors who graduated from the Ivy League or public ivys. I could not ask for a better advisor, who has allowed me some leaway on electives. I am so grateful to be a K-State student.

You may want to check out which programs are accredited (filter for bachelors) -- there are only 16 at the undergrad level. Urban planning is more widely available at the masters level. Aside from Cornell, UVA, and other extremely selective schools, take a look at Ohio State and Illinois.

That seems like a narrow undergrad degree.
