This is a pretty good list of girls schools in the DMV area.

They will all have African students but you won’t get to higher numbers (like half) unless it’s a school in PG county for example (eg, seton).

You’re going to find African American in PG, not African.

Not true. You will find both.

Can't possibly be actual PG residents making this claim. Anyone who has lived or spent any significant amount of time throughout the county knows there is a significant African population in certain areas. Stop with the assumptions.

AHC, but that might more African American?

You might want to look at Holy Child?

Holy Cross has a large African population, as well as a large AA population.

I think you need to clarify. AA and black are often not the same thing. what are you seeking?

OP is clear, she is seeking a school with a large number of students who themselves or their parents or grandparents immigrated from Africa.

This is OP and yes, this is what I was asking. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

NP here. I love this post. Are there coed or all boys school that meet OPs requirements that you all would recommend? I'm interested in those options for my boys.

There is a decent number of African Kids in the DMV generally. I’d expect to see a cohort at most of the DC/PG WCAC schools with the exception of GZ, maybe they are there too but I’m not as familiar with the community and I know it skews whiter.

DeMatha had a sizeable AA population including from African immigrant families.

Another +1 for Seton

This maybe doesn’t help you OP, but there is a significant Francophone African community in MoCo, esp Silver Spring. Many choose Francophone education options which isn’t your interest, but it may be worth checking in on Catholic options there too.

Except that OP specifically asked about all-girls schools.

The PP’s are specifically responding to someone who said “what about all-boys schools?”
