It's one of these international groups that travel around the country and hold camps to make money and invite players to their European camps to make more money. If like you as a player, it could be fun/beneficial from a soccer sense and good experience to travel to Europe. |
LOL! |
I actually want a Dutch Oven but my husband keeps getting the wrong idea! |
Speaking of the European camps, parents should be aware that they mostly cater to boys if this is what you're interested in. One week for girls, multiple options for boys. |
The year we went to Netherlands (Pro Tour), for the two age groups on our week, there were only about 3 girls per group and played with the boys. Exhibitions were against all boys. It was a good experience. |
| My kids enjoyed it and they gave great reviews. We hosted coaches one year and they were a blast, as most Dutch people are. |
^evaluations, not reviews. Multiple pages and very specific, better than any we have ever received from a travel coach in the 15 years (usually didn't get any feed back). |
Interesting, good to know. My daughter has gotten invites for various overseas camps and we've never accepted. The girls seem mostly like an afterthought. |
Has anyone ever interviewed with a European pro academy? We've received several emails inviting us to join their academy team, but the cost is really high. Just wondering-are these legit? FYI; ECNL Boy |
new way how European teams fund their academies . American parents so generous they fund local clubs and decided to do the same for Europe too .
|
The general rule, once you are U13 or older on the boys side, if it is free, your kid is good and the opportunity is legit. This applies to stateside as well with MLS Academies and a few slots on each of the ECNL and MLS Next teams in the area. If you are paying, I hope it is not from the college funds and just coming from your OnlyFans & Fanduel budgets. |
| Any updates on this camp from summer 2025? Good, bad, indifferent? |
Well, why do you think Loudoun Soccer and VRSC continually add foreigners? Hint: it isn’t their “expertise” or “experience”. The answer lies in their McMansions and bank accounts. They could never aspire to a fraction of that wealthy lavish lifestyle back in their countries of origin. They won’t naturalize though because “muh roots, mate!” Forget the Germans that’s another special case |
| what does this have anything to do with the Dutch Soccer School? |
I heard the Dutch Soccer School stinks really bad. |
