Yes! I would say below a 25% acceptance rate is a reach for all, regardless of stats
Similarly, Villanova and UVA are not targets for anyone.

They are targets for a kid with these stats. Target doesn't mean safety.

This is a basic and well known approach.

Huh? The OP didn’t specify whether they preferred public or private - just no liberal arts colleges. This list has a variety of schools that could be targets for this student.

Not really. Target schools have an acceptance rate between 35 and 75%.
Guess how many kids apply with that same stats for NEU, BC and BU.

My oldest had similar stats, now at Vanderbilt majoring in HOD (Peabody) and Economics. Too many reaches and not enough targets. Accepted to NYU Stern and UCLA (Biz Econ), rejected from EVERYWHERE else including Michigan, USC, and every Ivy.

My youngest (current senior also looking at business) targets on east coast / southeast and CA are UMiami, UC Irvine, Cal Poly Slo (such an underdog but wow, the placement in tech/biz is impressive and San Luis Obispo is amazing), UGA, UCSB, UC Davis, and UCSD. Accepted so far to SMU Cox, Tulane, Indiana Kelley, and ASU Barrett (WP Carey). Outside of the areas mentioned but all good business schools for targets.
