My mother had her diagnosis of osteoporosis reversed by large doses of vitamin D. So large that on days she had to take it, it made her feel a little sick. But now she's fine.
I agree that adding weights might not be great for your joints. Running isn't great for your joints either. |

Dexa scan. You will get a score and it will be in a range for diagnosis.
