Whoopee do to your kid. You know that most kids leave school at 2:30pm don’t you? Also I guess you missed the part where I said “unless staying for a club”. Presumably your wonderful daughter doesn’t stay every day? When mine stays for a club it doesn’t finish until 6:30pm. And then has to be picked up. |
We have done both carpooling and bus. The bus is very early so kid much prefers carpool. Parent prefers the bus which is a short drive. |
Can a MS student simply walk to Blair as their closest pick up spot to catch shuttle to Eastern for Takoma MS? Live within walking distance to Blair but not Eastern. Thanks! |
Yes I don't see why not |
Someone didn't have their wine this morning |
My Blair kid (and Takoma before) gets up
At 5;40 to shower and eat and then to the local elem school to catch the bus to Blair. |
We carpool to Wheaton HS and my student takes the bus home. The morning bus is far too early and our carpool is about 15 minutes each way. |
Anyone from upcounty? |
Yes, many kids who go to Poolesville drive to their nearest elementary and catch the bus. Clarksville, up at 5:30, bus at 6:25. |
Like a farmer! We hold to our local traditions! |
There are (or at least there were a few years ago) a small handful of routes that don’t change at Blair. We live in DTSS, and when my kid was at Eastern a few years ago, their route was direct. The activity bus went through Blair, but the regular morning and afternoon routes didn’t. |
IEP.
Bus stops at our house at 650 am. Bus drops off at our house at 345pm. There's been a lot of heartache sometimes having to figure out how to best accommodate DC's ND, but this bus thing, it's a plus. |
Eastern MS. Live in Takoma Park. Walks to the bus stop at the Elementary School down the street. Takes approx 30 mins and goes directly to Eastern without stopping at Blair. |
