Girl Scout

My daughter is also 6 and it’s likely we’ll sell fewer than 30 boxes. She doesn’t want to go door to door and that’s fine w me. She’ll just sell to our family members and maybe family friends or friends’ parents if they ask (I’ll let ppl know she’s selling but no pressure to buy). I really doubt the troop leader would announce it but why don’t you ask the troop leader since no one on DCUM knows the answer to that.

Does she enjoy the other parts of GS? Selling cookies is only one small part and is optional. If she enjoys being in the troop/badges; activities/ camp.
Camp and Selling cookies are optional. GS alumni.

As you know, parents are not supposed to sell cookies for their girl scouts. The kids need to do it. -- GS Troop Leader

They are six. No six year old should be hocking goods. When they stand in front of a grocery store that's them selling themselves, they drove there, carried the wares and count all the money? BS

GS is such a crap organization, yep your response is BS.

OP let your kid quit who cares.

My daughter is 12 and the girls in her troop do, in fact, carry the cookies and set up their booths. They also handle the money - the only thing they don't do is handle credit cards because that's usually set up on an adult's phone.

Yes 6 year olds are expected to talk to customers, handle money and make the sale. Of course their parents are there. And the parents drove, duh.
