But if you think that’s too much (it’s a lot of work!) or just not a priority given other hard classes, I would opt for Honors US History instead. Honors Pre Calc is a tough class (though I suspect your kid is very strong in math). Maybe honors History this year and then he can do APUSH and/Or AP World in future years.

Doesn't that depend on the school? For example, Blair offers APUSH in 9th and APNSL in 10th while other HS reverse this.

OP here--at our school the choice is H. US History or APUSH. He's not a humanities kid. Given that those are the only 2 choices, H. US History it is!

APUSH is supposed to be easier even though it's hard. I'd do that first from what I'm hearing from others who did history first.

"Alumnae" class review? Who rated those AP tests? Small, women's college?

H.Precalc
H.Bio
AP Physics 1
PE
H.English
History ????
ASL

Is this reasonable? For his history class, what would you recommend? He's currently in Historical Inquiry.

This is pretty good!! Keep the AP physics especially if he has a an interest in it.

I would have him take honors us history if he isn’t a history type of kid.

Remove the honors bio, it’s his freshman year he should have some fun so add an elective maybe a class that satisfies fine art credit

Since he’s already taking some physics outside of school, I’d skip Physics 1 this year and do Physics C concurrently with Calculus BC next year.

Physics 1 is one year, physics 2 another year, when he could just do two semesters of physics c next year and end up with the more rigorous and advanced coursework.

+1
Physics C concurrently with Calculus BC as a 10th grader is what the most advanced math students at RM do. It's a good fit.
