What would that fall under? Trying to figure out how to find a provider with this speciality. Would it be another reproductive endocrinologist, reproductive immunologist, MFM, naturopathic doctor? Just feeling lot. Currently being seen by a RE at shady grove and have my regular endocrinologist even prior to TTC.

I’m sorry OP. I was 27 when we started trying. I had 3 miscarriages before having our first at 29. After that we had 2 more healthy pregnancies. Sometimes your body just has to figure it out.
Whatever your journey, good luck!

Plus, do the progesterone and even very high doses of folic acid. (plus, multi vitamin). You can try again but your concoctions of meds and monitoring by your thyroid doctor is critical. Were you on Synthroid? The fourth time worked for me with all these med changes. Hugs to you. It’s a lot, I know. Also, try switching to an RE who performs research in this area of recurrent miscarriage. Take a visit to one of the leading experts who are researching in this topic. Even if it’s a flight away. They can monitor you from a far in conjunction with your local doctors.

Thank you! I will bring this up in my next appointment. Yes I’ve been seen by a regular endo for the past ten years for hypothyroid. Was on Armour thyroid and then switched to Synthroid when we started TTC. Don’t love Synthroid but following what was recommended by my endocrinologist and our RE agreed. Figured I could switch back once we finally were able to have a child but that hasn’t happened yet unfortunately.

How frequently are they testing you once you get a bfp? What is your tsh now?

Shady Grove doesn’t think outside the box. Go see Dr Abbasi at Columbia Fertility. Do a search for her on this board to read up on potential recurrent pregnancy loss causes.

It totally could be bad luck but 3 in a row, with known thyroid issues, justifies more aggressive testing. Of course you don’t have to go that route, but it’s an option.

After three miscarriages I couldn't take the heartache and the toll on my body anymore. While my case (DOR) did require IVF, I found that "outsourcing" some of the labor to IVF and knowing it was a genetically normal embryo being transferred helped a lot mentally.
