Check out Signature Hardware and Rejuvenation. |
Doesn't your contractor or a designer they have, have any suggestions? |
Well, DCUM was right. I went shopping today and ended up going custom. I couldn’t find anything at any of the cabinet places I liked, none of it fits what I am going for. I ended up going to a cabinetmaker and we designed what I wanted and fits my space and MCM vibe exactly. If anyone wants to critique my taste, I am going with something close to the Signature Hardware Novak (tiny bit more red tone to the stain). It’ll go with white 8 inch hex floors with Slate Gray grout, and white porcelain slab shower walls that have a very minimal marbling in light grey. I haven’t picked out the quartz top yet. I love it already. |
Thank you for this rec, I picked a SH style as above, but am getting it custom sized. —OP |
I am incredibly picky so I like to do the research ahead of time so I know what I like. It makes the process faster! I had my tile in half an hour, because I knew what I wanted. The vanity took the rest of the day, because again I know what I wanted and couldn’t find it! |
Can you share who you went with and rough pricing? I’m leaning towards doing this because I can’t find a nice 72” with at least 2 sets of drawers |
Some of the best quality I found at www.bathroomplace.com |
Restoration hardware is junk. Do not buy.
As is signature hardware. I bought a tiny cabinet from them for over 1k - not super high end but certainly not cheap- and it looked like crap after a year. Really bad. They did refund me which was nice but obviously I still have to hire someone to have the piece ripped out and another one put in which I can’t find anyone to do |
I just posted. Signature hardware was worse than Home Depot/ikea quality at double the price |
Dang, shocked no one here recommended Bertch through Ferguson. We just did a bathroom and our custom vanity layout from Bertch was the biggest splurge. 100% worth it. The amount of customization is insane. |
I looked at a ton of high end vanities (some of which are suggested here) and I hated the look and feel of all of them. They just seemed so cheap. I ended up going with IKEA and I am very happy. I needed to get them in kind of a hurry so I was thinking I would replace them in time but now that I have used them for a few years I have no desire to. |
I just saw soho home has some:
https://www.sohohome.com/us/bathroom/vanities The restoration hardware ones look nice I like the room and board quality but am looking for something less modern |
FYI, porcelain slab shower material cost is not that bad, but the labor will double the cost. |
Restoration hardware is not good quality. |
Poster above who can’t stand restoration hardware or signature. I’ve bought from both and both were shockingly poorly made. The signature cabinet looked like crap after about a year of regular use as a side bathroom. Never again. I’ll buy ikea when I finally get around to replacing it. I have ikea kitchen cabinets that I inherited when I moved in, and they are still going 18 years later. I also have a Kohler bathroom cabinet. It needs to be replaced but looked decent for a good 12 years or so. |
