Islands- bora bora or Turks and Caicos but really depends on where you stay, so if budget is not a concern you’ll be good.

Wow never thought of Lebanon in a touristy way will look into that for future.

Have been to the other 3 and loved it

I also have friends who’ve been to Lebanon and loved it. It’s a Mediterranean country so it’s not too surprising.

+1. I travelled to Lebanon years ago and it was wonderful -- beautiful Mediterranean beach, heavy European influence but still distinctly Middle Eastern, great food, tons of history, etc.

Lebanon PP from above and I'll add that my favorite "under the radar" country to visit was Uruguay. The beaches were gorgeous. The vibe was so relaxed, Montevideo was very cute, and the people were notably warm and friendly. I want to retire there.

Slovenia. Nothing "must-see", but good food and a very pleasant vibe.

Italy. Amazing food (if you avoid tourist spots) and incredible things to see everywhere. Same with Greece, which was also somewhat cheaper.

Indonesia. Beautiful nature in Sumatra and nice beaches in the Gili islands.

Thailand. Good beaches, good outdoor actitivies in the north - hiking, zip lines etc.

Turkey - fave country ever, but I spent 3 weeks and saw a good bit of it. I loved the towns on the coast, Cappadocia, Ephesus
Costa Rica - I love nature and animals so this is really my jam.

Op here
- will definitely look into Guadeloupe!

Jetblue from NY flies there, and there are also flights from Miami on air france I think. We stayed at this simple aparthotel a one minute walk from this amazing beach (Le Petit Havre). Its this tiny protected cove with lots of trees for shade, and a food truck or two outside. Then in the evening we would drive to other beaches/dinner. Glorius.

My favorite has been Italy. Husband’s is Spain. We have traveled quite a bit including Africa, Caribbean and Asia but those are still our favorites.

I agree Lebanon is amazing! The food is the best I have ever had.

Oman was also really beautiful, but I was living in the region at the time. I’m not sure if it would warrant the expense and long flight as a stand-alone trip.

Cozumel and Guatemala are also favorite destinations of mine.

I loved Crete and would like to go back. You've got hiking and beaches and villages and history. It's great.
