Good call, those are obviously opulent, but not what I was expecting from that link. I think camel is the classic MM coat, I don't see how you'd regret it. |
No scarf plans - I can buy whatever later. Do you wear camel for evenings? |
|
NP here, I looked at them while in Italy over the summer. It was so hot I couldn’t deal with it. They were on sale too, but could not get my brain into it
|
I wear black in the evening and to work. Last year I had both the black wool coat and a light beige one (neither Max Mara). I liked the beige during the day and the black at night. But if I were starting over and treating myself to a Max Mara, I’d probably get the camel. |
| I always see Max Mara coats for half off during the Ssense seasonal sales. There is one going on now. |
| Cheaper to buy them in France for sure. |
| I would get the classic camel. I would wear at night too. It’s gorgeous. But easier to get dirty |
| I just got a max mara coat on sale at Bloomingdales. Check out their sale to see if theres anything you like |
| Are there any Max Mara coats that wouldn’t look ridiculous on a 5 foot tall petite woman? |
TJ Maxx had like 2 styles |
| I love the Max Mara 101801 Icon coat in camel! Also on my to buy list the next time we're in the EU. |
| I think camel is more versatile than black, and actually can look dressy for evening. I have the Manuela coat in a dark blue and have been really happy with it. Max Mara camelhair coats all have this really lovely slight sheen that elevates their look a bit, even the lighter colors. But camel especially can also be dressed down for daytime. |
Max Mara or Max Studio? |
| I think camel can be unflattering to your complexion so go with black. |
Black shows dust and dirt, it just shows up as paler marks vs darker marks on a camel jacket. |
