wow, unrecognizable. it really illustrates the natural beauty that she was. and it makes me sad that this generation of girls have such a warped beauty standard being marketed to them.

Exactly this. She was not an aspiring actress or model but rather a preschool teacher. Her personality as a child was actually quite shy. Also, she was upper class British, and they have always been less into embracing things like cosmetic surgery, veneers, etc. in general.

Being part of this generation wouldn't change her nose or lips unless it's a nose job and/or fillers

Interesting photo editing but the easier way to analyze this is to look at pictures of Diana's niece, Lady Kitty Spencer.

Diana's feathered hairdo is iconic. It's likely today she would have long straight hair like Kate Middleton, but not improbable that she would have come up with a unique "twist" (and yes, that's a pun).

Yes, the Kitty Spencer comparison is a good one. I remember how much she looked like Diana even as a very young teen.
