I just think it would be so much better without the baby because like OP I was distracted by her age/being the mom of a teen with a baby etc. and I thought leaving the dog (really the baby) at home with a baby sitter who doesn't realize the dog is a baby was irresponsible!! Yes I know this is ridiculous given the premise of the movie but it bothered me and I just couldn't help but think, man I would be enjoying this so much better if they just stuck to the two teens switching bodies with the parents.

I can't help it - these are things that eat me up inside during the holiday break.

But the whole body swapping thing, no need to suspend belief there!

My family with middle schoolers loved the movie. The dog and baby were ridiculous but they got the most LOL moments in our household and got my otherwise grumpy kid in hysterics, so I'll call it a win!

But if we are to grumble about things that aren't realistic, the fact that they were left alone with that priceless telescope on the night of a major celestial event....

I did genuinely laugh at a fair bit of the movie.

But it was just too much - everyone has a make or break, high stakes event on the same day?? It was painful to watch much of it go down. And the enormous house was distracting.

Have you not noticed that on most TV shows? All Chicagos, NCIS, SUV, etc. is an example, with the exception of Gibbs they all live in beautiful apartments with beautiful views.
