| Please donate new bar soaps to homeless shelters |
You eat soap and candles? |
| We only use bar soaps so we’d gladly take them! Post on Buy Nothing! |
| Are they unused? Then donate them. |
Agreed-- bar soap in a guest bathroom is gross. |
| Post them on Freecycle. I love them! The best thing I ever got on Freecycle was a large collection of freebie gifts from high-end makeup purchases. It totatally made my day and I still think of that woman with gratitude. THis is the trick I use myself to declutter (that I learned here) to think of the joy the other person gets from receiving. |
Use it in the shower. It’s so much more environmentally sound than body wash. |
| For the hand soaps, if you work in an office, put them out in the restroom in addition to the industrial soap in the dispensers. |
| Post on Buy Nothing or, if you work in an office, take everything to work and send an email to your department that it’s all “free to good home.” Someone will take it! |
+1 soaps are so functional |
But it's still gross, even in the shower. |
| Take them to those useless and meaningless candlelight vigils. |
| Buy Nothing. Don't donate them to a goodwill - they'll end up in a landfill or shipped off to a garbage heap in Ghana |
This. Otherwise trash |
