| Look for a lightly used BMW X3M. Sports car performance with small/medium SUV capabilities. Ride is very firm, so test driving is important to make sure the ride is acceptable. |
| Model Y. EZPZ. |
| Get an EV— if you haven’t driven one you probably don’t appreciate how much fun they are to drive. Maybe check out the mach-e or the hyundai/kia models. |
| Driving with two young kids in the car shouldn’t be “fun.” Speeding is reckless. |
| Escalade Pimped out |
| Your rear facing kids will be puking like crazy in a manual transmission where you are driving for ‘fun.’ Grow up. |

Fun for who?
If you mean fun for you to drive, there are a bunch of options. If you mean fun for kids… the Tesla Model S/X and Cybertruck and forthcoming Model 3/Y refresh feature a rear screen in the back with Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Hulu, Comedy Central, YouTube, and a bunch preloaded 3D games and independent rear wireless Bluetooth connections for headphones and video controllers. So they can play and watch movies or shows while you drive, and you don’t have to hear it. |
| I've got a Jeep Wrangle with a custom third row. Can seat 8. Great fun to drive - loves snow - can take the top off in the summer. |
| If the wife is the primary driver, let her pick. I doubt she wants a manual Corolla. |
| We love our Telluride |
Hellz yeah. Don’t forget the T-handle Hurst shifter and a footprint-shaped gas pedal. An MSD ignition and TBI would probably be good, too. And you may as well toss a aggressive long duration cam and some roller rockers while you’re in there. |
Oh I see that person has joined the discussion.

Thank God my wife is the polar opposite of you. |

Some more info. We already have a minivan that is the wife's daily driver. I also drove the Model Y for a few days and it's a nice car but once I got past the "push you back into your seat" initial acceleration, the car felt kinda "meh" to me. I don't like the higher seating position for some reason.
As for fun, I was thinking something that has great handling and decent acceleration to deal with the traffic up here. |
| Why not get the MDX Type S? |
