One of the Boys by Jayne Cowie would be a good discussion.

I’m in your age group, OP. Books I have chosen include The Measure (echoing others on this thread), The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, and The Vanishing Half.

I think Tom Lake is a good choice. I just finished Yellowface, and while the main characters are in their 20s, I don’t think that should be a limiting factor.

I loved Olive, Again by Elizabeth Strout.

The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie

I don't like regular literature much though

NP, who loved the Third Law Trilogy. I really like character-focused books and liked Joe Abercrombie’s humor. Any other books in that vein that you’d recommend?

Also, Remarkably Bright Creatures if you haven’t already read it.

Seconding anything by Elizabeth Strout.

Also Hidden Valley Road, a true story about a family dealing with 6 schizophrenic sons.

I read it and found it cute but boring. Just curious what were discussion questions in your book club?
