Really Good Coaches Regardless of the Team's Level--Where?

All of my kids have great coaches right now... for them. But there are kids/parents on each of their teams who certainly don't feel the same way. We have had other years (and sometimes two year coach cycles) when we haven't been as lucky.

Kinda strange to not list your kids ages, levels of play or city/area you live in if you're seriously seeking recommendations for a good coach.

OK, narrow down a few NOVA and MOCO clubs that you are willing to make the drive 3-4x a week in rush hour traffic and contact the clubs to see if you can attend a few training sessions to see if your son and daughter likes the coach and team.

The 2011 Alexandria MLS-Next team is very strong. Coach is well regarded.

If you live in McLean, it's probably easier to get to some teams in MoCo than Alexandria or SYC.

Never mind the abuse directed at the kids, opposing coaches & referees. If you want a coach who is hoarse at the end of a 4-game tournament weekend from all the yelling, AS @ VDA is def your guy!

We have several former national team players (from a number of nations) coaching rec in our league. Does that count?

I would advise against this…

Sorry it did not work out for you with AS. He’s definitely our guy.
