Is it dangerous to fly in the rain for small plane?

Former small plane pilot here. Rain, if not heavy, is fine. Wind is the issue to really watch. If rain also = wind, then that's a problem. Recommend talking to the pilot in advance to find out what conditions they will reschedule over.

Absolutely never. I say this coming from a family that has lots of pilots and a few private planes (jets). No one in our family is allowed on anything with less than one pilot and two engines
