you never know- look at suburu outbacks!

Was just about to say, this sounds like the old lesbian-Subaru stereotype (which isn’t true either!).

I don’t find Docs comfortable, but I think the utility of blundstones is limited. They’re comfortable, don’t get me wrong, but they look kind of ridiculous with dresses/skirts. I would also look at Thursday boots, Sorel, etc. for comfy yet more stylish options.

But it's kind of true. Right? You can see how they made the leap.

I’ve got docs that look like Blunnies! Very very comfortable and relatively stylish.

Back in my barn days I went with Blunnies tho.

I have both.

Have not worn the Blundstones in an icy winter yet.

I prefer the Blundstones because I wore docs exclusively in my twenties and the Blundstones feel like a fresher style for my 40s.

Neither. How about something more attractive? Ferragamo makes some lovely boots that look great dressed up or down.

I absolutely love my Blundstones. Docs are too heavy and chunky for me - remind me of high school. Blundstones are incredibly comfortable and warm.

Also, I’m a straight woman in my 40s. Live in a UNC suburb. My husband also wears Blundstones - nearly every day.

Otherwise agree with PP that it’s an aesthetic choice.

Do they still make these? Don't they all have toddler side zips?

Disagree, I think Blundstones look adorable with a kind of sporty cozy skirt/dress outfit. I wear Blundstones with tights and a mini skirt with wool quarter socks peeking out the top of the boot. It's not an elegant or edgy look, but it's cute and works with my personal style.

My teenager has lace-ups. I’m sure they make side-zips, but lace-ups are the norm.

My feeling was always that Docs were too much work, with all those laces! I like that I can slip my Blundstones on and off.
