Is this perimenopause?

I have not worn a sweater for 3 years. The hot flashing is horrible. I don't have a little ac unit, but I do have a fan right next to the bed. I reach out in the night and turn it on and lie there wanting the air to blow the heat off of me. Ugh. Awful. And you missed the messed up sleep part, lol.

lol no worries about pregnancy here. I haven’t had sex in five years and could never get pregnant when I did.

I sympathize, OP. I’m 47 and for almost all of my reproductive life, I could set my watch my my precise, 27 day cycle. Would go to bed the evening of day 26, and there she was between midnight and 6 am on the 27th day. And then at 47, it all went haywire. Went 32 days. Then back to normal, then 17 days, and another even heavier at 18 days. My husband had gotten a vasectomy a few years back and I had been enjoying life without BC. But I went to my gyn and got (back on) a low dose pill because it just couldn’t deal. It’s been the best thing ever. Will stay on the pill as long as I’m able to.

Could be peri, but also, did you get your covid booster in the last month or so? That significantly messes with my cycle every year (otherwise very regular).
