Son got in OOS tonight. Came late as we had checked around 6:30 and nothing, then we saw tweaks to status page around 9 pm so tried to login to lionpath and the letter was there

When my son logs into his profile the admission decision page says "Sorry, we are unable to retrieve your application details. Please check back later as we are working to resolve this issue." But right beneath that error message is "Information for Admitted Students". I'm wondering if that info is there regardless or if it only shows for applicants who were admitted.

This was the case with my son and his friends. My son never received an email to check his portal. He only checked his portal because the Tuesday before Thanksgiving he read some posts on the Penn State College Confidential forum that acceptances were being sent out. Law and behold, he checked his portal and found out that he was accepted. He told his friends to check their portals as well. His friends who also applied to Penn State all had acceptances before Thanksgiving. His acceptance packet came in the mail the week after Thanksgiving.

You checked at 6:30 and then again at 9? How many times per day were you checking?

I quoted and claimed the wrong message. The message above was mine. This morning that error message was replaced by an acceptance letter! Apologies to the other poster who I claimed to be by mistake.

thanks, that's really nice of you. it's such a relief to have a solid option. now we can focus on applying for scholarships! Ha!

Still waiting, although it looked like the portal changed. DC's classmates were starting to hear during the day today too.
