We would love to do a movie but our 7 year old still gets scared watching movies at home and I think the big screen would overwhelm him.

Ah no, please do not show up "guerrilla style" with 12 kids to a small ice cream shop.

Thanks all, I think we are going to shift to City State Brewery instead.

We went to a party that was successfully rescheduled for a future date due to weather.

The Coldstone near us is tiny and has one table. The ice cream takes forever and then kids will be so bored.

Why not just shift to an indoor play place or bowling?

Good choice! Sunday afternoon pinball, skeeball, and whatever food you want to bring in. 7yos and parents should be happy.

I'd look at getting a room in a community center. Then figure out some old school games to keep the kids entertained (pin the tail, musical chairs) have some cake and send everyone home. It can be short.

That’s a good idea! Some libraries have rooms you can rent as well

Libraries do not like loud groups (like kid's birthday parties) in their meeting rooms.

Don't do that!! You should call the cold stone creamery and ask if they host parties

What exactly would the kids do at cold stone after they eat ice cream? That’s a 15 minute activity. Are you just planning to post up for 90 minutes …?

Most libraries I know will only rent rooms to non profit groups (like Girl Scouts) and not private parties.

(And sorry about the shushing, PP. You must not have been at my branch. I would not have shushed.)
