| I agree with the PP who said check with the families of 2 or 3 of the closest friends and then go for it. This is true of every party/event regardless of if it’s on a holiday. Some people will be out of town or have a conflict. Some won’t. As long as the close friends can come, your kid will likely have fun. |

| It depends on the day off - federal holiday, yes, because I have the day off and can drop them off; however there's a small chance we may be traveling that weekend. If it's just a random school day off that I don't also have off, then no, because they'll be in camp and I'll be at work. |
| My DD's birthday is usually Memorial Day weekend and we specifically have her party the weekend before or after because so many people travel that weekend. |
Agreed, ask the closest friends and plan around them. Even if you can provide transportation, this won’t work for working parents. Many kids are at day camps, not at home. |
