Fyi - Dyson AirWrap on sale

I don’t have the air wrap but would love one. I have the hair dryer and it’s honestly just the absolute best. My daughter and I use it daily, we share. It was a gift to me.

Do you think they'd let me try it out if I go to Tyson's?

I haven’t been there recently but they used to have a bunch of them set up to try out with someone running a tutorial on how to use.

Just bought one!

When I got a new shorter haircut, I bought the Airwrap half assuming I'd end up returning it and after a bit of a learning curve, I was won over. I can now go from towel-dried hair to fully styled in 5-7 minutes, which means I actually do my hair every day, which means I'm happier with how I look and feel more confident. That's worth a lot, in my opinion. I have gotten more compliments on my hair in the two months I've had the Airwrap than I've gotten in the last two decades.

How much of a learning curve is the Airwrap. I have long hair that is thin and needs some curl. I am assuming I can figure it out or watch a youtube video.

Last time I was there, they still had them set up in front of mirrors and ready to try.

Rather intense reaction - What did the Dyson hair dryer ever do to you?

It depends on what you want to do. The learning curve isn't to just use it, it's to get the style you want. To curl my short fine hair, I had to watch a bunch of videos and still the curls would fall out right afterward. I eventually realized it worked best if I used the curling attachment only. I don't dry my hair first, I just use the curler and it dries my hair while it curls. I also use a ton of dry texturizing spray first. With long hair, you might need to rough-dry the roots with the dryer attachment and then use one of the curling attachments to dry/curl the rest.

Bumping this thread for new responses. If you took the plunge, do you still like it? Use it somewhat regularly?

it’s $120 off.

It’s still a $480 hair dryer.

I have long, crazy thick hair that used to take over an hour to dry. I bought the regular Dyson hairdryer 4 yrs ago and it cut my drying time in 1/2 and isn’t frying my hair. It may not be worth it for some, but saving 30 mins every time I do my hair was def worth the hefty price tag for me.

I have similar hair and found the regular Dyson hair dryer to be unwieldy and the trying time was significantly longer than with my Rusk w8less. I kept it for two months, tried all sorts of different things, but ended up returning it because it is awful. It's all hype. Such a huge waste of money.

Same with the Air Wrap - buy the shark, it's exactly the same.

The Shark hair dryer is the worst though.
