I like Orion and his wife (Lauren?), though I think he's ugly.

Clare & Cameron - something is off with her.

Brennan & Emily - she is too immature to marry. She just wants to get drunk and doesn't know how to have fun without alcohol.

Becca & Austin - he wants to be married to his backwards baseball hat.

Michael and is it Chloe? I never would have given her a second chance.

Clare and Cameron are painful to watch because neither will be honest with each other even though they will be honest to the camera.

Brennan is trying not to humiliate Emily by saying “I’m not into you because I do not find you attractive at all.”
And Emily keeps pushing and definitely is either clueless or has self esteem that is too low to walk away from someone who doesn’t find her attractive.

Currently watching the fishbowl game with Emily and Brennan….

But they are both soooooo self focused that they each just answer the question and neither invests in the other’s answer at all. It’s so cringe. They each share something deep and revealing and vulnerable about their lives and the other just skips right past it. No questions, no follow up, no interest, no empathy on either side.
Just ego and defensiveness and shading each other.

The need to call it quits already.

Why are these girls soooo sexually needy without recognizing that if the guy is not responding to it, he’s seriously just not into you.

The couples (maybe particularly the men), seems to be below average in terms of looks.

+1
But I don’t know if it’s bad that they are needy.
Having a female counselor isn’t helpful in the sex discussion though because she just jumps in to try to ask the guy why he’s waiting with zero understanding that the guy needs “the hunt” and having the girl state so openly that she’s into him when he is not into her actually puts on the brakes in his head even more because he knows that if he acts on any sexual urge at this point, it’s just leading her on and he’ll look like a total pig later.

Ewww. I’m at the Chloe and Michael parts now and she is a piece of work.
Chloe thinks she’s a people pleaser but she has been passive aggressively throwing him under the bus with her snide comments said with a smile.
She clearly thinks she’s above him and is not physically attracted to him so she’s looking for ways to back out.

These women are delusional and toxic, led by therapist Clare. Yikes!

Who knew Chloe would turn out to be the sage for the season?
“These women do not want to heal” is spot on!
She nailed it. And good for her!! She’s the only mature and healthy thinker in the group.

I think Brennan is trying not to say mean things about Emily on camera. Perhaps that is to protect his image on camera (which is savvy), but it could also be chivalrous on his part. He does not want to humiliate her. He cannot help that he is not attracted. I also think he is not ready for marriage. He wants to date around.

Clare is way too controlled (ie, she can’t cut loose). Cameron is unemotional as well, which does not help.

Orion is a disaster. Perhaps very damaged by his lack of a father. He is trying to represent an entire ethnic group, instead of just being a man seeking love. Lauren is supermature and gracious. She deserved much better than Orion.

I think Becca and Austin have the most potential. I hope that it is not ruined because of what he memorized as a boy in cathecism.

I take back any benefit if the doubt I posted earlier about Brennan. He is all about appearances for the cameras. Below the surface, he seethes with anger and resentment.

She should run.

I’ll wait for you to catch up.
On the reunion show the whole cast admits to faking everything.
Clare isn’t religious at all and just isn’t attracted to Cameron and he suggested they just keep in civil and not make each other look bad on camera. It seems the girls then accused the guys of being too concerned about image but honestly I think *except* for Cameron, the guys just weren’t attracted to their matches and knew that if they went through with physical intimacy they’d be portrayed as players/users so they just steered clear.

Orion had every right to say “yeah I’m not marrying some girl who made an offensive skin-color joke about my ethnic group and thinks it’s funny.” Why can’t this be a deal breaker? There is literally no way anyone would be pressuring Lauren to give Orion another chance if he had made a joke about her blackness. It would have been game over—at least in terms of her accepting him as her spouse, and rightfully so.

Clare is a master gaslighter and manipulated the girls into following her lead in shutting down the guys.
I think both Austin and Brennan could have at least had decent friendships with their partners if Clare had stayed out of it. She’s super toxic.
Hard to believe she is going to be a therapist.

You don’t think Brennan had anger issues? I think he tried to control what both Emily and Dr Pia said. He was scary to me.

Isn’t he the one who said (pathetically ) that several women had told him he delivered the best sex they had ever had? That is the feedback he expects, and anything less pushes his buttons.

Lauren was so well intentioned and accepting. He is not going to do better. If he found a misstep made within their first few days together (which came from ignorance, not racism or malevolence ), he won’t last in any longterm relationship.

Sorry, this should have read, “if he found a misstep to be unforgivable “
