Another vote for Apples to Apples, that’s what I came to suggest. It’s a great game for a crowd and usually leads to a lot of laughter.

You don’t need the kids version, but if they draw a card that references something they don’t know, just let them redraw.

I’m looking into magnetic chess (not actual chess) for Christmas.

This is expensive for what it is but honestly looks great. Rolls up to fit in a cup holder in your car and you don't lose your place in the game.

Just download the app on your phone. You choose which characters you are playing with and push start and it walks you through everything so everyone can play.
