Yes. How do you find out about merit aid? |
|
DD just got admitted to the honors college. Got 2k/year.
GPA - 4.5W (don’t know the unweighted) ACT - 34 Data Science/Stats musician for 12 years; All State orchestra for 4 years Nationally ranked athlete for 6 years In state/private Older brother (3 years ago) w similar stats got 1k/year during RD round. |
I am the OOS PP - it was on the portal with the admissions decision. |
Instate $2k per year was the same. It was part of the Congratulations letter in the portal. |
| Any chance GMU will increase the merit in the Spring for those getting the $2k in-state/$1k OOS? |
| DC OOS, 4.0 UW got $20K/yr. |
Same here. Instate, did not apply to honors. |

What is the chance for DC oos? DC is a junior. So far:
1440 SAT 3.7 uwgpa/4.5 wgpa 6 APs Some decent ECs -- heavily involved in theater/music/choir, one non varsity sport, work experience. We need at least $15K/year merit to make it work. |
| DD got in OOS from MCPS. Accepted to HC with $20k Mason Excellence Award. 3.9/4.7 GPA. 1350 SAT submitted. 9 APs. Strong arts ECs but was not accepted to the competitive audition based arts program so will not be attending. |
