$1.5M home in Lyon Park

It’s a less than 15 minute walk to the metro. Ive lived in that neighborhood and the location was excellent for hopping into dc by car or public transportation and felt “safe” for my older parents to drive to from further out suburbs. It was easy to navigate by bike and nbd for groceries. The neighborhood is also nice for meandering walks. This is a nice edit and I love the light the back part of the house now brings in.

That said I wish it hadn’t been ploughed through so badly by folks leaving the city changing the original homes so dramatically (mostly tearing down) and the flippers. The old neighborhood was far more charming and once affordable. My grandparents and great grandparents had homes there back in the day. Love the park too. Many good memories.

Me too! I lived a couple of blocks away from that house until I was seven. It was such a fun and friendly neighborhood to grow up in. Lots of friends to play with and the neighbors were all friendly.
