Likely. Union has to defend the process even if they are fine not defending this person specifically. Still have to follow the process or the whole system is undermined.

This is where the Daily Wire reporting may be lacking. Saying he didn’t condemn the rhetoric doesn’t mean he refused to do so. And saying there wouldn’t be further public statement is likely related to official discipline being initiated. But hopefully the union contract won’t preclude MCPS from giving some assurance that this kind of speech is not tolerated.

Thanks for your answer. Good points. I just don’t trust MCPS to do anything other than sweep it under the rug, so I’d like to hear more concrete statements.

The principal condemned it. That’s something. This is bone-chillingly bad, complete antisemitism. How could anyone NOT condemn it, assuming they’re not antisemitic. On an educational level, this person is an idiot. She is an ignorant, uneducated fool. I wouldn’t want her teaching my child anything, let alone world studies (!). DEI is becoming a joke. I think those positions will be phased out because they’re not being filled by people who have any special training, expertise and knowledge. Heck, this one is a total bigot. That stuff is way worse than I what I expected when I first heard about the teacher.

Do you expect MCPS to monitor every employee’s social media? With what resources? If they hired ten people tomorrow to do that, you would complain it was money wasted.

This teacher is my child's teacher at Tilden. I can assure that she never spoke about Israelis or others in class. She made some posts on her personal FB page. Please do not spin the reality. She is actually a nice teacher who encourages students.
